Neo Collection
2020
NeoCollection is an open online audio-video project presenting the most outstanding Polish contemporary compositions for string quartet.
NeoQuartet, Polish string quartet specializing in performance of contemporary music, is the originator of this project.
There will be three compositions produced and presented online within NeoCollection, namely:
– Witold Lutosławski – String Quartet (1964)
– Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – “Already it is Dusk” String Quartet (1988)
– Krzysztof Penderecki – String Quartet No.2 (1968)
To increase the promoting potential of great Polish cultural heritage and to broaden its artistic context, NeoQuartet invited three prominent Polish visual-artists to render individual NeoCollection compositions: Andrzej Mańkowski, Piotr Wyrzykowski, and Filip Ignatowicz.
Every string quartet will be a separate audio-video masterpiece exhibiting and promoting Polish cultural heritage in explicit and attractive way.
